In Palladale-Ray Dockweiler State Beach.

We had Lucy Hahn on, sorry, Lucy Hahn from Friends of the Jungle, which is a nonprofit

group.

And she had a lot to do with getting the Biona wetlands cleaned up.

And this Stockweiler State Beach situation was difficult because, well, it shouldn't be difficult,

but I've run into this in my town as well.

When you have some land in which jurisdictions overlap, in this case,

Dockwiler State Beach is part of California's

state park system. Although the county ran

the maintenance and the lifeguard services

and the city policed the area

and was responsible for code enforcement. So you had the city,

the county, and the state all with responsibilities.

None of them, none of them took any initiative to clean up the homeless encampment at a state

beach, which is meant for the taxpayers, not the drug addicts and mental patients.

Anyway, Lucy Hahn made the media rounds last week.

She got a lot of attention,

and, of course, she petitioned and lobbied various officials, and we have, I believe,
