because today was the start of a trial of a guy named Marcus Ires. He is accused of murder. It concerns a six-year-old

boy named Aidan. Aidan's mother, Joanna Clunin, was taking him to kindergarten, driving on the 55 freeway.

And she was cut off, apparently gestured at a driver, and the driver's boyfriend, Marcus Iyer,

is pulled out a gun and shot at mom's car and the bullet killed the little boy.

Yeah, it was such a sad story when this happened back in November of 2021. I mean, still a sad story. As you mentioned, this happened on the 55 freeway.

It was during morning rush hour traffic. And, you know, the, the mother, when she heard this

sound, she said the boy screamed, ow in such, in such intensity that she pulled over immediately.

He's bleeding from the chest. And he ends up dying within the hour.

And so Marcus Aries is I guess how they pronounce his name.

It's charged with second degree murder shooting at an occupied vehicle.

And there are enhancements on both charges for the use of a firearm.
