with but two o'clock we're going to have jeff briggs an attorney who uh was a one of our

guest well was the guest host that we had a few weeks ago uh he'd uh won a contest he bit on a

hosting job here and he he was on our show and a very smart man.

He's among the legal work he's done is worked with a homeless in Hollywood. And he knows a lot

about homeless law and government procedures. You may have heard that the Los Angeles homeless count came out today, and it was a dip

of, in L.A. County, 0.27%. You should see the headlines. After five years of increases, homelessness

on a downward trend. Yeah, there were 7,500 homeless in 20, 23. Now there's

7,300. Woo-hoo. Look at that. Down 0.27%. But what Jeff is going to come on and discuss was a major

decision by the U.S. Supreme Court.

And what they said is that cities can remove people off the sidewalks and chase them out of the parks.

They have no legal right to camp out overnight, none.

It is no violation of the eighth amendment against cruel and unusual punishment. That was the prevailing belief system from these homeless

advocates. And they conned the California, the U.S. Appeals Court, 9th District, based in California, they actually got that appeals court,

a majority to claim that the Eighth Amendment prevented cities from removing people off public

walkways, roads, parks, unless there was a room for them. And not all cities could

provide a room for all the homeless. So the cities can enforce laws against homeless camps.

So those campments now can be declared illegal. This is so big. We'll talk with Jeff about it.

Also, Prop 47, the repeal officially on the ballot. The repeal of Prop 47 will be on the ballot in

November. Blake Trolley is going to have that story and other things. But first, obviously, the Biden-Trump debate. I was at Fox 11 last night watching it.
