The California Supreme Court has given you a good hard kick today.

For the first time in many, many years. The California Supreme Court has taken

an initiative off the ballot. It's called the Taxpayer Protection and Government Accountability Act.

A lot of people had signed petitions to get this on the ballot, and it would have restricted tax

increases across California.

It would require voters to approve any new statewide tax and also raised thresholds for the

approval of local taxes, up to two-thirds of the vote.

And Newsom wanted it off the ballot, and he went to court, and Newsom's side was claiming that this is unconstitutional.

The voters have no right to do this, and it's going to disrupt the government too much.

And the California Supreme Court ruled unanimously with Newsom on his side.
