Now, I'm going to take a deep breath here because we're going to wade into something,

which we talked a bit about last week as the story

was developing. But now we have the complete situation. And it's something that could happen

imminently. And it's about Gavin Newsom and all these radical progressives in Sacramento who are desperate to preserve Prop 47.

I cannot tell you from what I've been reading and hearing just how upset the progressive legislators are that the public is about to wipe out Prop 47. If you're not familiar, we'll go through

it quickly, but Prop 47, as you know, it was written by, co-written by George Gascon 10 years ago.

And what it did is it basically legalized street drugs, in effect, legalized retailized retail theft and shoplifting by knocking down

the penalties dramatically. And it's made life intolerable. As I told you, Nathan

Hockman, who's running to replace Gasco and pointed out, I went to one of his events

last week. He pointed this out, and I also found it in another news story this week.

2014 was the best crime year in California and in Los Angeles in modern times.

2014, we had the lowest crime rate of a 50 year period.

So it wasn't that long ago, 10 short years ago.
