There are trials during the course of my years at Court TV and some kind of take on a life of their own and

will live in infamy and right now we are in the midst of one of those.

Robert Durst is the defendant's name you You may recognize him from the docuaries, The Jenks.

This is a man who was charged with murder years ago,

15, 16, 18 years ago in Texas for the murder of his neighbor Morris Black he got on the

witness stand and explained to the jury how he shot him, said it was accidental self-defense,

then explained to the jury how he dismembered him, and the jury came back and found him not guilty.

So now he's being charged for the murder of someone. And the jury came back and found him not guilty.

So now he's being charged for the murder of someone else,

Susan Berman, a friend of his in California,

and once again he has taken the witness stand.

Now he's on cross examination and it's continuing as we're speaking the cross examination is continuing because it's going into record numbers of days that this is taking it is unreal.
