Yesterday news broke that Michigan head football coach Jim Harbaugh is negotiating with the NCAA

to serve a four game suspension in response to a recruiting violation.

One that was labeled level one, which means it's super, super serial.

What was that violation?

Apparently a hamburger was purchased for a recruit from the little brown jug.

Thank God they didn't order the fried cheese balls or this would be an eight game penalty.

How in an era when college athletes are making millions of dollars from collectives

and for their name, image and likeness are we even discussing this?

I mean put straight cash in the cheeseburger bag and everything's good.

Leave the actual burger in the bag and you're suspended.

I've long joked that the NCAA stands for never cares about athletes.

But being anti-burger is downright un-American.
