we're doing this one via zoom and I imagine since you are a sack town for life as in Sacramento, California. That's where you're coming from right now.

Yeah, I just came back from my house yesterday in Vegas and I'm home for a couple of weeks now.

What's a man you've got so much you're such an interesting guy to me because you you know when people think of you they think of intense leader

but you're you're involved in so much it seems like you kind of have life going on right now if you will.

Yeah, maybe a little bit too much but now I'm enjoying it. You know it's it is it's a lot of time and it's but it's you know it's way from my mind to stay busy you know and way from

you to stay busy and way from you to get back to you know my community and whoever they tell. Yeah I would love to talk about that here coming up all your charitable endeavors

and the things you're involved in in the business world but of course and since in Attie here everyone remembers the 1999 season and which you you played one season with the

Reds but what a glorious season it was I'm going to start with what I think is one of the biggest compliments I've ever heard and that's Marty Brennan Hall of Fame announcer said in my 46 years of broadcasting

Reds baseball the single greatest leader I ever saw was Greg Vaughan when you hear that what's that mean to you.

You know just like you said especially coming from Marty you know I was shocked when I first heard you know I still have the

message on my phone I you know someone sent me the podcast and you know when you think about the history and the mystique of the Cincinnati

Reds and you know all the great players you know and you know myself you know you're going to play with Barry and all before him you know ED all those guys it's I think that's why I played the game I think

you know I tell you know my sons or I tell my friends that you know the rest of the stuff takes care of itself but as long as you have the respect of your

players and the people you play with and go to battle with every day you know that's the most important thing and I learned that at the early

age I learned it you know from home of course first but also you know I got the privilege of playing with Robin Young Paul Maude or Jim
