This was the commission tasked by President Lyndon Johnson

with the task of investigating the assassination of President John F. Kennedy

After close to a year's work, they released their report,

which concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald, acting alone, had shot and killed JFK.

What many people don't know is that there was actually a second federal level investigation into the assassination.

In 1976, Congress established the United States House Select Committee on Assassinations.

They spent a couple of years investigating the JFK case

and released their final report in 1979.

They disagreed with the Warren Commission and concluded that there was a conspiracy in the case.
