So I covered, early in my reporting career, I covered evangelicals for the Washington Post.

So I spent a whole, whole lot of time with evangelical leaders. And they were hungry to convert me,

hungry to convert me because a Jew special prize. So I remember this one particular breakfast where

I was sitting in a waffle house with one of the most prominent evangelical leaders in America

and his spokesperson. And he was staring at me in a way which was making me extremely uncomfortable.
