0:40.1	little bit like a science to a lot of people don't you find? Yeah I think there's a lot of math and we do a lot of math like just again we use
0:47.8	autocad on our computers to like elevator rooms so we know exactly the heights of these things and we tell our
0:55.2	our electricians to hang it at that height but if you don't know that like where do you
0:58.9	start like how do you know how low to bring your chandelier from, you know, on your kitchen island or in an entry or in a huge family room.

1:18.6	My family room is approximately 15 by 21 feet, and the ceilings are about 19 feet high. What diameter should I go with and how
1:26.4	high should the light fixture be hung? Thanks. Jess, what do you think?
1:31.1	Yeah so this is a double story room so this is why it's a really good question. A lot of you out there might just have a single story room and that's an easy answer. If you just have a single story, then we're going to say the bottom of the chandelier should hit anywhere between 7 and 8 feet.
1:48.0	That gives people plenty of clearance to be able to walk under it.
1:52.0	But in a two-story room, you're going to be able to walk under it. But in a two-story room you're going to be looking
1:54.4	around at what's happening up above in that story. Sometimes you see a breezeway
2:00.1	from the floor up above and so it's going to have a relationship up in that atmosphere.
2:05.3	Maybe you're going to have windows above the other windows.
2:08.8	And so you could center it on that.
