and it wasn't an easy situation and for the most part Clay Holmes has had what I would

say is a decent year he's blown a lot of saves some of those blown saves I

think are a little misleading when you look at the circumstances around it.

But overall, Clay Holmes has saved, I think it's the fourth most games in all of Major League Baseball.

And he's one of the better closers in the sport.

But I think to a man and a woman every Yankee fan has a trust issue when it comes to

Clay Holmes. There's no question. You see yesterday encapsulates both of what

Clay Holmes is an excellent baseball reliever.

He's just not a great closer.
