something I just found. Women like men who make them laugh due to evolutionary differences

Scientists have found that, oh, all right, somebody on another level here.

Scientists have found that women's brains show greater activity than men's in response to humor.

It is thought women use a man's ability to make them laugh as a way to judge their genetic fitness as a suitable partner and potential father.

This is out of Stanford University of Medicine, by the way, and it involves scanning the brains of 22 girls and boys ages 6 to 13 as they

looked at very funny videos. During the funny clips, girls' brains showed more heightened activity than the boy's brains.

And it's just been published in a social neuroscience journal.

Researchers said their findings suggest selecting a mate by responding to humor is more effective in women than anything else,

because the female brain, and particularly the reward circuit,

is biologically better prepared to respond accordingly.
