I have such a clear memory of what I was doing five years ago this week. Joe Biden was about to take

office, but Donald Trump had not yet accepted the results. On the day that Congress was scheduled

to certify the election, Trump was still convinced he could pull victory from the jaws of defeat.

He gave a speech, announcing as much.

Now it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy.
