Our scriptural text today comes from the seventh chapter of the Gospel of St. John, beginning

of the Scriptures. You'll notice there these words. After this, Jesus traveled around Galilee.

Jesus' own brothers didn't believe in him, and you see it evident.

They are saying, why don't you show some miracle, Jesus, and show them what you can do.

You don't become famous by just hiding and playing it safe. They had plotted to kill him, and Jesus knew it's not my time yet. So sometimes,

when it's not your time yet, you got to lay low until it is your time. So Jesus knew what he was doing,

but his brothers were trying to out him, not because they wanted

them to do something to show the world.

They didn't believe him, so they're like secretly saying, show us.

But the ironic thing about this is that in the previous chapter, in St. John chapter 6,

Jesus had just walked on the water.

We don't have any record of anybody else walking on the water. I mean, Moses parted the waters and they walked through on dry land, but there's
