Let's talk a little association in the wildness of the coaching of the NBA.

I was thinking about this yesterday, Matt, because Mike Brown officially signed this deal with the New York Knicks.

And he's getting like $10 million a year.

And it feels like in the NBA right now, you're either going with a retread coach or you're going with someone that a lot of people haven't heard of before.

It's one or the other.

It's just wild how now, and especially with New York and their search, because I think it was a surprise to everyone that they got rid of Tom Tipito.

Yeah, you know, you failed in the Eastern Conference finals,

but it's a place that New York hasn't been in a long time.

He's taking him further than any other coach, and then he says,

you know what, we're out of here, you're gone.

And just the, what's the word I'm looking for?

I think it's the arrogance of the Knicks, thinking that you can say, hey, man, we want to talk to your coach that's you are employing because we're the Knicks and then we'll make them an offer and they'll come over here because we want your coach.

And every single team said, no, you can't. What are you talking about? And so now it went to, they spoke with Don Staley, and then they settled on Mike Brown to coach.

And of course, he's the head coach in Cleveland, head coach in Sacramento.

He was on the staff for the Lakers.

And yeah, he's a certified retread.

But I was thinking of this. You got something something Justin they they didn't read Don Staley wanted to talk to it but I think she said no also

interesting I did not know that yeah she was mentioned as far as people they wanted to talk to

and it's one other name that I'm forgetting besides Mike Brown that they wanted to talk to

that said no we're good.

And again, I think they thought, just because we're the Knicks,

we can ask for anyone and they'll say yes because everyone wants to coach in New York.
