So yesterday afternoon, I thought this was really cool.

It's an article that Tommy Yarsh, who covers the Cowboys for Dallas Cowboys.com, had an opportunity to sit down and interview Stephen Jones.

And Stephen had some really interesting things I thought to say in this article talking about how they are approaching their search for defensive coordinator.

And as we sit right now, the Cowboys have either interviewed or will interview nine candidates

for their defensive coordinator position.

And when asked about that, Stephen said, I think we're in the initial run.

We're going to cast a wide net,

which is what we asked them to do. Whether it's a half dozen, 10, 12 coaches, when it's all

said and done, I don't know what the number will be, but we're already starting to narrow it down.

We'll bring in guys for in-person interviews, some of the guys that we felt would fit.

And this is something, what he said here in this next little quote,

is something that I thought they kind of alluded to.

Coach Schottenheimer talked about that as well.

are hoping to see these guys exhibit, what qualities. He said, when you have an interview,

you look for those traits. Are they a great teacher? Can they communicate and verbalize

complicated things in a way that makes it easy for the players
