So for those that don't know, Rich is and has been for a very long time, the play-by-play voice for the SMU Mustangs.

Indeed.

And you guys had a big one on Saturday here in Dallas hosting a top 10 team in the Miami Hurricanes.

Yes.

It was, you know, I mean, look, they joined the ACC last year and their first ACC game was a very surreal night because Florida State came in to little old Ford Stadium.

And then, yes, Saturday we brought the U in.

Friday I pulled out on, I go to practice on Fridays for pregame interviews and stuff.

And I had trouble getting around through the parking lot outside the stadium because the truck with the U on the side had just rolled in their equipment truck.

And it made it all seem kind of real to me that they were actually coming to Ford Stadium.

And this is this kind of thing that we've wanted at SMU.

Because going into Saturday, there had only been four other times in 26 seasons of Ford Stadium that a top 10 team had shown up.

And they were all non-conference games.

Man, that's wild.

Because when you're rolling through so many years of the whack and conference USA and the American, there just aren't opportunities.

It makes sense.

I mean, it's been like TCU, Baylor, A&M, and one of those was a top 10 team twice that came in.

And then Miami.

We just don't see them, you know.

When you have Tulsa and Tulane and Charlotte rolling in, you don't get top 10 teams coming in very often.

They should start to change. It should. I mean, in two weeks they're going to have another probably not top 10 team, but another ranked team is Louisville comes here.

And it's a different world. But beating a top 10 team was not necessarily on our bingo card because the last time SMU beat a top 10 team, I remember it very well.
