So it was one year ago, we were in New Orleans, and we spent more than just Monday,

but that entire four-hour show on Monday, last Tuesday.

And Tuesday and probably Wednesday, was all about the most shocking trade in the history

of Dallas sports, for sure, a trade that none history of Dallas sports for sure.

A trade that none of us could fathom that we all thought was fake when we first heard it.

But this is the one-year anniversary of Luca Donchich being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.

And you still hear people saying it's one of those moments because you have some of those events where

people will always say I was there I was there I was there and this is one of those moments that

even if you're a casual sports fan you will remember where you were when you first heard it

it was so late on a Saturday night that a lot of people will feel like today is the anniversary because they woke up to it.

And you and I were both in New Orleans because we came the weekend before to hang out in the city before Super Bowl week started.

And me and the wife, we were back in the room.

We were in a hotel room watching television.

And to get the text from Justin in all caps. Justin doesn't text in all caps. And he did. What the heck is going on? Yeah. I'm going, what are you talking about? I'm in the room watching TV. What's the deal? And then I had no clue what he was talking about. And then when I grabbed the phone and immediately I went to Twitter to see, and that's the first thing that popped up, of course.

And then you go, well, no way, no way.

And then you try to get it with another source to see if you're not getting ball sacked, anything like that.

And then he called me.

Justin called me and said, man, I think we need need to we need to go in the air with this like this is crazy it's like okay yeah yeah let's do it so we spent

the hour and a half in my hotel room talking about this trying to figure everything out and trying

to wrap your head around it then everyone started coming in on the next day, and we went on that boat ride.

Okay, so that's all we talked about. Yep. That was it. And then Monday and Tuesday, that was it. It dominated. Didn't even care about the football game. It was just about what the heck had happened. And still, it's hard to believe that you're starting to get even new stories
