To me, it's all about the defense.

Because the offense, I don't have a lot of concerns about even missing C.D.

Lamb with what we've seen their ability to be able to do, pretty much against anybody this year.

DAC is playing at a level.

The run game is playing at a level where they are one of the most successful.

You look at football and the way that we can view things now has gotten so unique because

there's so many metrics that you can look at.

And you can look at your traditional statistics and go, okay, they're really good here.

Then you can start getting into things like EPA and run success rate and all these types of things. And whatever you want to look at now,

the Cowboys running the football are in the top three to five of the league in all these different

varietals that you have to kind of determine are you good at this. And so when you're

five games into the season, it's hard not to believe it, right? They're good at running the football.

Yeah, they are. They are. And with this new offensive line coach and offensive coordinator

and Clayton Adams, what he's been able to do, he has changed from no matter who you seemingly put out there in the offensive line, this team can run the football.

And I want to say it's 10 different offensive linemen that snaps there in the offense so far here in the first five games of the season and they're still having success running the football.

Yeah, no one thought that when Javante Williams was signed in the running back room

that you had, that they would be top three, top four in running the football, but here you are. And that's what Schuytenheimer wanted to do. We kept hearing it. We're going to run the football. We want to run the football. And then we're thinking, man, there are going to be some circumstances where you're getting drilled in games you're not going to be able do it, but the success rate that they've had just makes this offense work.

It really truly does because it's based on a lot of play action and fooling the defense.

Right. And man, the play action has been working because you do have the threat.

Oh, very much so.
