We are wrapping our week up here at Cowboys Training Camp in Oxnard. Joining us now to talk all things Cowboys is their vice president of player personnel, Will McLeigh. Oh, you did get challenged.

Oh, I won't someone at too. I'm not running from that. It's Houston versus Dallas robbery.

This is the only time, and I say this, that Houston will be Dallas in our domino competition. I'm just telling you.

I'm not even talking. I don't have to say anything. All right. It's cold, man. He has his arms folded and everything. I'm buying into our mantra of the team this year and you're a part of it as competition. We compete every day. Okay. Okay. I don't know if you've run it in anybody like this though. So we'll see see compete every day that is the mantra and it's

interesting have you noticed because the guys that we've talked to this week i mean it it truly

feels as if everybody is bought into whatever kind of culture shift or change whatever you want to

call it that coach schottenheimer has started to embark on that these guys are really behind him

yeah i think um he's done a great job and bringing that message and standing true to it and you can't talk about competing every day without having competitors uh and guys that want to do it every day and you set those things in front and you you set those competitive uh opportunities and you continue to see what cream rises to the top.

And I appreciate that effort.

And we all want to compete.

That's what we're doing.

So I really appreciate the approach.

So after an offseason last year where it felt like not a lot of movement, you guys made sure at the very beginning that you wanted to make sure and get some depth on this team. Was that a, I guess I'm a concerted effort to say, we've got to get more active in the off season to make sure we have some people here? Or it's just kind of go, every year and every off season is different. Every off season is different. At the end of the day, we didn't do and didn't perform like we thought we should. And so what do you do? You've got to go back to the drawing board and you've got to figure out how to do it. And, you know, you come across with that message and we just committed to it. You know, it's exciting to get into it. And the message is followed and everybody's bought into it. And now the proof is in the pudding and we have
