Those Texas Rangers last night

finally gave us a fun one.

And man, it is becoming, I think, to me, anytime, I mean, it's DeGrom Day.

And you say that, and any time Jacob DeGrom is going to pitch,

it feels like it's becoming destination programming to put eyes on it because

Jacob de Grom is doing something we've never seen before. And I'm sure if you haven't seen the

note, it's incredible. He went six innings, allowed just two runs, struck out six, walked one.

It is the 14th consecutive time that Jacob de Grom has gone at least five innings and

allowed two or fewer runs. That is a Texas Rangers, Washington Senators' all-time franchise

record. Pretty incredible. And a couple of notes. So DeGrom had the best support of all rangers pitchers with at least 50

innings pitched uh seems to be a nice formula for them his fifth consecutive decision and he's

he's he's exactly as advertised man i mean has he ever been a guy that you sign at the beginning of a contract and you're like, all right, he's got injury problems, he's probably going to get hurt, immediately gets hurt, misses chunks and chunks and chunks of time.

But when he's healthy, he might be the most pure form of pitcher in major league baseball in the last decade.

Easily.

He's this guy.

Yes.

And when healthy, he is dominant.

And he's done things this season to try and dial back the velocity a little bit,

quiet down his mechanics a little bit to try and elongate his availability.

Because he knows what this all is is and he's never had like a

really it honestly his injury history is kind of crazy because he's a little bit of a freak
