1999 is one of the greatest years in cinema history.

Don't believe me, go back and look at the releases from 1999.

It was an extraordinary year, and I would argue no year, no single year since has been better.

It was just a different time in Hollywood, a better time in my opinion.

Hollywood took risk then, green gliding incredible original stories, unearthing a new

generation of writers, directors, and acting talent.

And right in the middle of this amazing year, and all of these excellent original big studio films was a little horror film produced on a micro budget, basically no violence with unknown actors from indie filmmakers. It revolutionized the film industry, created the found footage boom, and continued paving the way for indie filmmakers of all genres to

succeed that'd be impressive in any year but even more impressive in a loaded 1999 that summer a 16 year

old me had been eagerly awaiting the release of the blair witch project a film i'll remind you that
