Welcome to Wednesday, assuming you're listening right away because I know you guys are immediately

the download is coming through if our friends at Apple will ever get their podcast situation

straightened out. I know some of you and I apologize for that are subscribing and wondering,

how come I'm not getting a notification? Then you realize, oh my God, I'm three podcasts behind. Come on Apple, get your act together. Obviously on YouTube and in

the other places it's working quite well. Our friends at Apple, they need to figure this out. And I have

now come to find out, I'm not alone here, quite a few podcasts. Some on the left, some on the right,

some like me, comfortably or uncomfortably in the middle, are experiencing the same issues with Apple.

So clearly, they haven't figured out what's wrong with their podcast app and their most recent

update. I will let the technical rant go from there. But I also want to promote what the rest of this podcast is going to be about today.

I'm going to do a little update on all things, 26 and midterm and a few political items that have

caught my eye over the last 48 hours. But I also have a terrific conversation that I think you're

going to enjoy with Jane Koston. You may know her from the New York Times and some of her column writing there.

You may now know her from her daily podcast. That's part of the Pod Save America world, Cricket Media, and all of that.

I've known her a long time. I've had her as a guest of my podcast over the various iterations that I've had it.

And let's just say we have, we always seem to have plenty

to talk about, and we have a good time talking about it, whether it's hand-wringing about the media,

talking politics, figuring out how to get people to debate better, or perhaps most importantly,

our collective love for college football and our collective hate for the SEC. So if all those

things are the ingredients that you

seem to like, and I think if you're subscribing to me, you probably like a bit of all of those

ingredients in your conversation. Well, this one with Jane has all of that and more. Before we get
