Apple reportedly in talks to buy Intel's 5G modem business for 1 billion dollars.

Of course that had to be the top star. That's a big deal. You might just be a person, you like your

smartphone, you like what it does for you, but there's a lot, you know, on the back end,

handshakes, conversations conversations in this case lawsuits legal

battles that lead to these bizarre and expanding and interesting landscapes

in which your smartphone is eventually delivered to you via that landscape.

This is significant because it's the baseline of it, the origin of this potential purchase and we're going to have to bef

we're gonna have to take a little step back here, but Qualcomm, I mean,

they're, you hear, you hear about them no matter which smartphone you're talking about for the most part,

and they are behind, they are the engine behind the smartphone universe

through these licensing agreements that allow all these various

manufacturers to use their components in their smartphones, particularly in 5G category,

and of course Apple presumably moving into 5G fairly soon.

to use their equipment and nothing else.
