But let's start out with a guy who, at least for the next few days here, does not have a

team because Daniel Jones asked for and received his release earlier today, mere days

after he had been demoted all the way to third string with Tommy DeVito set to make his first start of the season.

This week against the Buccaneers, the owner John Mara put out a statement earlier today saying that Daniel came to see me this morning and asked if we would release him.

We mutually agreed that would be best for him and the team.

Daniel has seen been a great representative of an organization. First class in

every way. His handling of this situation yesterday exemplifies that. We were all disappointed in how

things have worked out. We hold Daniel in high regard and have a great appreciation for him. We wish
