| 0:18.6 | We have a great show for you, right? |
| 0:20.6 | Greetings to your listeners. This is Jonah Goldberg host of the Remnant Podcast brought to you by the Dispatch and Dispatch Media. |
| 0:32.6 | Come to the Dispatch.com for all the good things and very few of the bad things. |
| 0:36.6 | It may not all the good things. You can't find a lot of puppies or kittens or ice cream there, but you can find lots of good other stuff. |
| 0:44.6 | Today we have one of my favorite people in the whole world returning. She is creeping up on the five-time gold jacket. |
| 0:52.6 | And I want to, I'm going to, I'm actually before I introduce her, I want to, I want to preface something as I want to, I want to test our guests feminist credentials. |
| 1:04.6 | I often refer to a Abie's daughter of real clear politics and a Punditri extraordinary as the lovely and talented at Abie's daughter. |
| 1:14.6 | And I get blowback from people on Twitter saying that I am being sexist and demeaning and condescending when I refer to her as lovely and talented. |
| 1:24.6 | Now I know that Abie knows that it's coming from a good place in my heart, but Abie, welcome to the Remnant and tell me, do you feel oppressed or triggered when I refer to you as lovely and talented? |
| 1:34.6 | Which word would you like me to cut out? |
| 1:36.6 | I like to regale my male colleagues with compliments of their loveliness and talent. |
| 1:44.6 | So I don't really understand that, but I also, I crossed an age mark years ago where even when old men would drill at my neckline and tell me that I looked very pretty, I decided that it was great sort of benefit of middle age that you could take those compliments without being accepted. |
| 2:04.6 | And you would be I was sure I assure them actually bluntly that I don't sue so the lovely and talented is a high honor and it's always a high honor to be with you. |
| 2:14.6 | I really wouldn't listen to the peanut gallery on that one, Jonah. |
| 2:22.6 | I find it to be sort of like that rare sort of 0.5% of feminist types, not quite the people who dress up in cosplay with handmaid's tail costumes, but just shy of that who take offense if you open the door for a lady or if you stand up when they walk into a room and all these things that my father made me do. |
| 2:44.6 | And if I had a son, I would make him do, but to me, plus it has the benefit of being true, you're lovely in your talent, so there you go. |
| 2:54.6 | Thank you. I think the the woke sorts have taken us a bit too far. |
| 3:00.6 | So, you know, we could actually we could bind together into a single volume, all of your appearances on the remnant and just call it why we can't have nice things. |
| 3:14.6 | But why don't for this chapter, why don't we start with something that you wrote, we'll put in the show notes for real clear, where you're, which is your home. |
