Last February, a Wisconsin court made a major ruling.

A Wisconsin judge has ordered the state DNR to start a Wolf Hunt this month.

The Trump administration removed wolves from the federal endangered species

list in January, returned men in state.

On January 4, 2021, the United States Department of Fish and

Wildlife under the Trump administration officially removed the grey wolf

from the endangered species list. Wolf management shifted entirely to state

and tribal governments. In Wisconsin, the state's wolf population had risen

from a low of just 25 animals in the early 1980s to more than 1,000 by 2020.

And so, after the removal from the endangered species list, the state

authorized the first wolf hunt in Wisconsin in seven years.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources initially set the hunt date for

November 2021. Hunter Nation, an advocacy group, sued.
