I've been out in force in the House of Lords doing their level best to prevent any form of departure from the European Union

by voting to stay in the European economic area, something I haven't even heard about for many, many a year.

It would effectively mean staying in the EU with trade agreements, freedom of a movement

for people and capital, and even residency status for everybody in it as well.

Britain would become the new Norway.

The big question now is what will the Commons do and how much will Remainer MPs be encouraged

to stand up against both Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn.

It's a problem for the Tories, but it's also a problem to the Labour Party.
