Hi, everybody. Welcome back to Gilmore to Say with Tara and Haley. I'm Tara. This is Haley. Hi, Haley.

Hi, Tara. It's season five. It's season five of Gilmore to say. I can't believe that. Oh, my God. This is our fifth time starting a season. Wow. That's crazy. And if you told the girls who said this for the first time back in, what, December of 2021 when we first recorded this, yes, you're so right, yeah. That we would be sitting in Spotify filming our first episode, our first two episodes of season five of Gilmore to say. I mean, I would have believed you, but I would have been like, you know, that's the thing is I would have believed you because I was like, yeah, sure.

I would have been really excited.

Yeah.

But I think that that's the thing of, like, the podcast is like, we at no point in doing this ever know where we're going. If you guys think we have a plan, we don't. We have a plan for our episodes, but we never know where the podcast itself is going to take us.

I was recording it in my basement in a little room down there, that first episode, and now we're at Spotify in New York at the World Trade Center. It's true. I can't believe it. We walked in, and I was like, oh, my God. I know. Crazy. And we have done it before. We were in L.A. Yeah, we did it in L.A.

It just feels so cool to be like New York City girls coming all the way down here. City, city. And everyone's so nice. I got a coffee, of course. Yeah, how is it? It is a cinnamon bun latte. It's quite good. It's sweet, but you know I like a little sweet. I know. I know you do. We're going to get machos after this too. Haley's going to be bouncing off the walls.

Well, that's fine. These walls, they're made for bouncing off of. But if you're with this one video, you should be. I do want to point out that our Spotify contact here, is that how I would refer to her, Millie. Millie. I literally started crying. We walked in this room. She was like, oh, I brought something from home. And I was like, what do you mean? Because I walked in, I saw the chairs.

And I was like, what do you mean? Because I walked in and I saw the chairs. And I was like, these are Millie's home chairs. She brought them away from Astoria. And I was like, okay, cool. It's the box set. She brought her Gilmore Girls box set from her home. The Gilmore home. Like, crazy. Crazy.

I literally just like immediately.

I was like, are these like, are my eyes watering or am I crying? I was like, no, I just cried just a little bit. Yeah. It was very, very special that she did this. Like, just so cool. So, heart hands. The little ace cards. And that wasn't even intentional. They were just already here. They were just here. I love. I'm saying. It feels fateful. It does feel like fate. Written in the stars. Season five. Season five. I'm just saying. You're so right. But we're really excited to kick off this season of Gilmore to say with a little episode about cold opens. Which feels like the best way to start a season. We had talked about this episode

for quite some time because it was going to take us a while to get through because did we
