Genesis chapter 3, verse 15, you have heard this a million times from me, but this is really one of the chief bookends of the incarnation of Jesus.

And I would typically begin a teaching like this by defining what incarnation means,

but I think in that definition I might limit your view.

And what I kind of want to do is allow the Lord, by his word, to blow up our limited view

so that we can see the incarnation more powerfully and properly, because it will blow your

mind.

It is much bigger than Christmas Eve.

And I don't mean just our holiday.

But I want your mind to be renewed according to the scriptures, specifically in this area.

I want your view of incarnation to exceed the bounds of that night that Jesus came as a baby through the Virgin Mary.

Though that's vital, it's much bigger than that. Okay? So in Genesis 3, verse 15, this is

this is the first gospel message. Really, there's only one gospel.

By the way, in your Bible, there are not four gospels when you think of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

It's the gospel, singular, according to Matthew, according to Mark, according to Luke, according to John.

Jesus said, this gospel of the kingdom, singular, will be preached, right, in all the earth,

and then the end shall come.

So when I say first gospel, according to Genesis 3, I'm not implying that there are other

gospels after Genesis 3.

There's one gospel, but this is the first declaration of it, the first mentioning.

You could say, I find the gospel being preached in Genesis 1 personally.

I also find it in Genesis 2, but to start in the shallow end, we'll just say it.
