Hi, Shen. So I'm not sure about you, but for me, the holidays can be a little bit stressful with all of the hustle and bustle and running around and

the to-do list that seems to grow exponentially and I thought today would be a

perfect time for us to talk about how you and I both manage this time of year to the best of our abilities and help our listeners come away with some ideas as well.

I think for me what's key over the holiday period is to keep in touch with how I function best during the rest of the year to just not lose sight of myself, to make sure I have time to read and to be quiet and to fit in

some meditation. Those are the things that keep me comfortable and anxiety free and

the things that make me hopefully bearable to live with.

When I lose touch with those things, then I start to suffer.

I get disconnected from myself and uncomfortable and the longer it goes on the worst I feel.

So I think it's very easy to lose sight of our routine over the holiday period.

Things get very different. They get very busy. There's a certain degree of social expectation and obligation.

So I think for me those things are really important.
