Fox. Hey, this is Trey.

Thank you for joining us for another Tuesdays with Trey. There are a couple of things on my mind. Both are something of a reaction to what has happened over the last week, but they still project

issues that can reoccur, issues that are sort of fundamental to who we are and these two issues lucky for me are related in my mind at least.

I'd be curious if they're related in your mind and if so how and if not why so let me know what you think here goes issue number one is how short-sighted, some folks are.

They cannot seem to see past the afternoon,

even if it means jeopardizing the future, the future of their political party, and you know, not

being hyperbolic, but in some instances even the foundations of the republic, and this is what I mean by that do you ever think about

the difference between a pure democracy and a republic we hear people from time to time including

presidents refer to the United States as a democracy

and yet we pledge allegiance to the republic for which it stands and I'm sure someone probably one of my three sisters or a

longtime friend is thinking to themselves right now come on tray what difference

does it make whether we use the word democracy or

Republic? And I don't know that it makes a huge difference which word we use, but it

does make a difference that we know the difference because it goes to how we view ourselves

and whether we understand something as fundamental as how the president is

elected and why the president is elected that way and also because it helps us set the proper
