So, Bowie had one of those generational differences and we're going to be talking about that today is that we lost one of the great ones, at least to my generation as one of the great ones with the passing of Prince.

And, you know, I know it will be a few weeks before we truly know what happened, but really kind of surprise that it's become official that the family has petitioned the state to kind of figure out what we're going to do with the everything that Prince has because he died without a will.

We're going to be covering today, guys, is I want to tell you how you can avoid what has happened now to Prince in his estate.

We're going to be talking about what do you need to structure in your life so that you have a state plan, a good estate plan and so that your children are taking care of so that your assets have a place to go and so you just don't get caught with your family having regrets or concerns when you're not here to talk for yourself and after you've left this earth.

But Brian, I'm listening to the show and, you know, Prince, he passed when he had a couple hundred million dollars. I don't have a couple hundred million dollars.

Should I still even tune into the show? Are you only talking about what those super wealthy hundred millionaires should know?

No, I've got everything from do it yourself or all the way to hiring an attorney for the super complex people like the Princess.

Even though, truthfully, we're all the same and the fact that Prince did nothing, which is very similar to 50% of the people out there because there's a lot of research out there and studies that have shown that.

Only about half of us are actually doing a state plans or creating wills.

Why do you think that is?

Well, the big thing for me is, and we deal with a lot of successful people, I think there's really three or four things that happen is that people first they consider talking about passing as depressing.

It's not a priority for them because they feel like it's easy to push off because I don't want to talk to my family members.

I don't want to talk to my spouse about what happens if I'm not here.

The other thing is that you feel like if you avoid that discussion, you're not inviting death in.

I think a lot of people, same reason people don't go to the doctor.

You know, sometimes ignorance is bliss.

So it's easier just to walk away from the heavy discussion in the first place.
