My name is Brooke McCallory. My name is Ben McCallory. Welcome to episode six of this wonderful season that we're recording.

One thing that I wanted to say to you is how good is it for you

to do the two-part recordings every episode? How you're finding the format? I'm really enjoying it,

actually. It's giving me an opportunity to have conversations and sort of take them in quite specific directions

that maybe I don't otherwise, I'm not otherwise able to do so much with the previous like

interview format and I love that I'm able to talk to it's going to sound horrible like normal people

whose experience in life

may not have included writing a book about something or blogging or podcasting or even...

Creating something.

Yeah, but I mean, creating something related to slow living, yeah.

I mean, even in the conversations that I have had with people about specific, not in this season, about specific things.

I just feel like we're able to dig into it in maybe a more relevant kind of way.

There's certainly something that gets lost as the wrong word,

that kind of gets smoothed out in interviews when you're talking to someone who has had a long

time to think, to structure their thoughts on something, if that makes sense.

And it kind of polishes it, which is necessary.

If you're doing lots of podcast interviews or you've written a book or whatever, you know,

you do need to have that sort of way of speaking about

your thing. But I do think that it sometimes accidentally removes some of the bumps and

quirks and difficulties that people listening experience, you know, the realistic challenges.

Exactly. This season is really real.
