happened last night that we did not cover in yesterday's episode.

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 22nd, the Senate approved the rules resolution

governing the impeachment trial of President Trump.

The had been offered by Senator Mitch McConnell more than 12 hours earlier.

It was approved on a 53-47 party line vote after Republicans had defeated all 11 amendments

offered by Senate Democrats.
