Hey everyone, Dylan here.

0:02.8

So today we're bringing you a story from Jerusalem,

0:05.4

but it's one that is decidedly not about current events.

0:09.1

Despite the horrors of this last month,

0:11.2

our hope is that we can still highlight stories from the region that inspire

0:14.1

curiosity and wonder. Okay, on with the show. In Jerusalem, there is a church called the

1:27.0

1:38.4

rickety doesn't look very stable and it's just sitting on the on the ledge below this window

1:44.7

resting against the window sill above it. What is not so normal about this ladder

1:52.2

is that it hasn't been moved for at least 300 years.

2:00.0

I'm Delanturus and this is Atlas Obscura, a celebration of the world's strange, incredible, and wondrous places.
