Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. In his great mercy he has given us new

birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an

inheritance that can never perish spoil our fade kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power

until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

In this, you greatly rejoice.

1st Peter, chapter 1, and then Paul in Romans 8, we know that the whole creation has been

groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

Not only so, but we ourselves who have the first fruits of the spirit

grown inwardly as we wait eagerly for the coming of the kingdom,

the more joyful our expectancy.
