It's been a horrifying week in the UK. After the senseless killings of three little girls at a Taylor Swift dance class in Southport last week,

violence erupted across England and over the Irish Sea in Belfast.

Guardian reporters have been out on the streets watching the chaos unfold.

In Rotherum and Tamworth,

hotel's housing asylum seekers were set alight. In Burnley Muslim graves were desecrated. In Sunderland the Citizens Advice Bureau was tor. In Middlesbrough, a marauding mob smashed people's windows and

courts.

And they were shouting some quite vile stuff as well. They were anti-Muslim slurs and anti-immigrant slurs. I mean it was it was horrible.
