I'm your host, Cory Muscara, and in today's episode, I'm going to share a quote that will hopefully ground and expand your body, heart, and mind.

So I recently shared a quote in our text community by the 13th century Japanese Buddhist monk, Dojin.

And it's short, but for me, it really, I feel something when I read this.

And so I'm going to share it with you, and I'd love for you to feel into how it lands for you.

And then I'll share some thoughts on it. So it's three lines. It says,

Body like a mountain, heart like an ocean, mind like the sky, body like a mountain, heart like an ocean, mind like the sky.

So just see what it's like to feel those words.

And I'm going to go through each of them again. But this time, as I recite it, really feel like try to sense into what would it be like to feel your body like a mountain, your heart like an ocean, the mind like a sky.

Just I'll share each one. We'll give it a few moments for you to sense into it.

And just see what that imagery brings up for you somatically, what you feel in your body, what you feel also in your mind, a sense of expansion, ease.

So body like a mountain. Notice what shifts for you there, what you sense into, body like a mountain.

Hearts like an ocean, heart like an ocean, mind like the sky, mind like the sky, mind like the sky.

So, you know, I can't claim to know what this brings up for you, but I can at least speak to my own experience.

When I feel into body like a mountain, there's something about a mountain that feels stable, open, grounded, vulnerable, but also courageous in its presence.

It's exposed to the elements, but also stable and present.

And so I could feel that. It's something changes in my posture. I feel a little bit more grounded.

I feel a little bit more expansive. And there's a stability within me.

And then heart like an ocean, I love the imagery of an ocean, and imagining the heart in that way, just boundless, expansive, and also fluid.

There's something about the imagery of water that is all consuming, that can receive something into it, but can also saturate something.

So the heart like this boundless ocean, just saturating everything and receiving and holding whatever comes to it.
