0:13.5	The penguin stared back.
0:16.2	For a long moment, no one said a word.
0:27.2	Nora looked back at the note and noticed that the note was written in very polite handwriting.
0:36.5	Suddenly, the penguin bowed and then, unbelievably, it took off its scarf, cleared its throat,
0:38.9	and it started to speak.
0:44.4	Please don't scream, it said politely, and so Luke screamed anyway.
0:47.5	Nora covered his mouth with both hands.
0:49.4	Sorry, she said quickly.
0:51.7	He does that sometimes when he's surprised.
0:55.6	And the penguin nodded as if this made perfect sense.
1:02.1	My name isn't important. The penguin continued. But you can think of me as a watcher.
1:06.4	A watcher? Of what? Luke asked.
1:08.8	Of the well. The penguin said. Of places that need guarding and of children who are special enough to notice things that no one else does.
1:17.8	It picked up its wing and gently pointed toward the envelope that Nora was still holding.
1:24.0	The igloo wasn't an accident, the penguin said.
1:27.7	And neither was the tunnel.
1:30.1	Luke and Nora leaned closer.
1:32.5	Some children can open what we call cold doors.
1:36.9	They don't appear very often, only when the temperature is just right,
1:42.1	and only when the builders work together together and only when no one is trying
1:47.5	to make magic on purpose.
