Today, I'm happy to report that the stars have aligned in my two favorite things, the movies and basketball, have finally come together on one next picture

show podcast. Over the next two weeks, we'll be setting picks, dropping dimes, and floating insights

straight into the bottom of the net. We may occasionally dunk on each other too. Trash talk is not

only allowed, but encouraged. Awesome. Scott, you are a slow, white, geeky jump. That's the spirit, Tasha. And while I work on a blistering comeback, why don't you take it to the hole? Sure. The quick and dirty news, Stephen Soderberg movie High Flying Bird, was dropped on Netflix in early February, and in true Sutterberg form, he's made a basketball movie with virtually no basketball in it. Instead, he focuses on the

wheeling and dealing of a sports agent during a lockout that's keeping his players from getting their

paychecks and his agency from getting commissions. His bold solution to try to work outside the

dictates of a professional league calls to mind the Venice Beach hustlers of Ron Shelton's

1992 comedy White Men Can't Jump, starring Wesley Snipes

and Woody Harrelson as gifted players who are great at jukeing and talking, people out of their

money, but not as skilled at holding on to it. Tasha, your mama is so supportive of you and your

efforts that I wouldn't be surprised of you were incredibly successful as a result.
