Did you know that there's a big statue of liberty in Paris? You know what? I have a feeling you

maybe had heard that before, but as usual with this show, the Eiffel Tower, we're going to take it a

step or two deeper because I happen to know that there are a lot more than just one statue of

liberty. There's a handful. There might be as many as

10. And in this episode, no guest. Well, I guess Lady Liberty is the guest, but there's no one else

besides me. I'm going to talk you through these Statue of Liberty's a little bit about where you can

find them and they're going to present to you a kind of

unusual fun competitiony kind of idea of how i'm going to try and see them all in record time

in Paris. Now why focus on the statues of Liberty in Paris?

This week, well, there's a couple reasons.

Firstly, I know it's the 4th of July.

I know there are a lot of American listeners to this show.

And I'm also conscious of the fact that there are a lot of people who aren't American who listen,

but I still think this will be interesting for you guys as well, because finding these statues in Paris is quite fun.

It's a bit of a treasure hunt.

But back to the Americans for a second.

There's two things this week that made this a good fit for an episode.

Firstly, it's, I got invited to the, I don't know how this happened,

but I got invited to the annual Fourth of July party at the US Ambassador's Residence.

And this is, this is happening on Tuesday. This is a party that it's almost legendary.
