There's not much news to report, so I'm just going to jump into our fourth story for the month of July 2015.

The piece is titled The Hunger Tower and is by Pan A Sheehan,

translated by Nick Stember.

Pan is a well-known figure among the third generation

of Chinese science fiction authors.

His previous work includes the collection Run Daye-Shao, Run, New World Press in 2001,

and four novels set in the novel land universe, Ghost Sparrow, Spirit Turtle, New World Press 2006, the Iron Stupa, New World Press 2007,

24 Second Paradise, Serialized in China, Fantasy 2009 through 10, and a dark moon

rises, Hunan Art and Literature Press October 2012.

He is also a founding editor of the influential Chinese magazine,

Odyssey of China Fantasy.

Nick is a Chinese to English translator of Chinese comics and speculative fiction.

His work has been featured on the websites of The Comics Journal, Paper Republic, Don Wei, Frog in Awell, Fluent You, Optical Sloth,

Tor Wung Boing, I 09, Rolling Stone, the BBC World Service, and the South China Morning Post.

Most recently, he has been working as a consultant for Stonebridge Press and StoryCom,

which has partnered with Clark's World magazine for the Chinese science fiction
