Summary
The building already had a reputation before she moved in.
Residents talked about shadow figures in the hallways. Strange movement near corners. The uneasy feeling that someone else was there when the corridors were empty. Considering the land beneath the flats once housed a smallpox home where countless people died, she tried not to think too much about it.
Then she spent her first night there.
Almost immediately, she began waking up at the exact same time every night with the overwhelming sensation that something was standing in the corner of the room watching her sleep.
