Don't get me wrong, my house is thrilled to see it.

But I still had to wonder what that hell was a house doing out here in the middle of the wilderness.

All around me was a blanket of trees, a green carpet flowing to the far horizon without another

rooftop or even a curly cube smoke from a campfire.

And believe me, there's no road.

I've been looking.

When you're hopelessly lost and already five hours into a three hour hike, anything resembling civilization is the holy grail.

I've never been an avid hiker, but for some reason, totally out of character for me.

I needed to get out of the city.

The job, even friends and escaped in nature.

Whatever that means.

Well, it didn't take me long to drift off what I thought was a well-trodden path.
