Summary
Sitting alone at the dining table, eating cereal after work, the air suddenly turned ice cold. His ears began to ring. The hallway was dark—except for the light above his head. Then, without warning, an attic door swung open on its own, dropping straight down from the ceiling.
He didn’t even know the attic existed. Weeks later, while out for a run, he discovered a plaque nearby: the house sat on top of an old cemetery. The headstones were moved. The bodies were not.
