Sometimes people who make waves have targets placed on their backs.

On April 17, 1972, a young man was brutally

slain and two men with targets on their back were placed in solitary confinement for the crime,

a place they would remain for decades, while many fought to prove their innocence.

So if you like your coffee hot but your bones chilled, sit back and start your day with a morning cup of murder.

In 1971, two African American men, Herman Wallace and Albert Woodfox, arrived at Angola

prison in Louisiana for unrelated but very similar reasons.

Albert Woodfox, sentenced to 50 years for armed robbery, escaped from the Orleans Parish Courthouse during his sentencing hearing and fled to Harlem, New York, where he was captured and jailed pending his extradition back to Louisiana.

It was here that he met a few important men who exposed him to the infamous Black Panther Party,
