and we're going to pull back and talk about a vitally important issue in the rising crime

rate in the United States and liberal and progressive no streams about dealing with crime with

our guest today Nancy Rommelman journalist and author who has an extraordinary piece

she published last week I believe at the Washington Examiner called a murder in Portland

Nancy is a veteran journalist podcaster author of several books my favorite is the Queen

of Montague Street which is a memoir filling up in Brooklyn in the 1970s which you can

get on Amazon and is a really extraordinary autobiographical portrait of a teenager

gone wild I think would that be a fair way that's pretty fair okay anyway but you lived

in Portland for many years though you have now returned I believe to to the old sod

of Brooklyn and and wrote a wrote a true crime book about a killing in Portland before

this I did first of all good morning everyone thank you for having I actually if you

just want to talk about what happened on the floor last night I'm happy to do that
