In this episode of The Homestretch w/Adrian Durant we are honored to have an Olympic Medalist and former world class Track & Field Athlete, Coach Tonja Buford-Bailey. Buford-Bailey formerly served as the men and women’s sprint coach at the University of Texas and as the head women's track and field coach at the University of Illinois where she saw tremendous success. During her career, Buford competed mainly in the 400 meter hurdles and has represented the US in many international games.
In this podcast, Coach Tonja Buford-Bailey talks about her journey through the tracks behind her accomplishments. She shares her memories of her first Olympic games her first Olympic medal. We also talked about her time as a track and field coach, her family and future plans.
